FISH Folder

I've been working on creating a FISH folder for my student's take home folder.  This morning I came across a GREAT blog:

She has some GREAT ideas.  She shared a link on her page to help teachers come up with a NAME for their folder.  Click here to check it out!! 

I knew I wanted my folder to be a FISH folder.   This link helped me decide what FISH stood for: Now it's the Family Involvement Starts Here Folder!!  LOVE IT!!  Check out the cover!

Classroom Behavior

It seems like everyone is using the color chart this year for behavior.  I used that chart last year and loved it!!  You can read about it HERE!!  However I started the year using clips on the sides of the chart.  It seemed that "somehow" those clips always seem to BREAK.  So a few months in I added some velco on each color and some cutout fish with my student's names.  It worked out FABULOUSLY!!!

Okay,  a few of you have asked for our planning calendar. Guess it's mostly for those NC teachers.   If you aren't from NC your may wonder what the numbers are for under Math, those are our objectives.  I hope this helps!!!
