I know a lot of teachers have been doing the MEET The Teacher I did something similar to that several months ago.  However I did want to post a new picture.  This picture was taken yesterday . David and I were getting ready to head to a friend’s house to watch the Super Bowl!!  We had GREAT weather here in NC.



Queen of Heart Art Activity

Queen of Hearts

What a fun week!!!  Today we made the Queen of Hearts!!!  This is a Hand Print Art Activity.  I found the pages from a book in my classroom years ago and the ART projects are a little hard to manage at times but the students always love the end product.  I took of picture of the student sheet in case you want to try it in your classroom.  Here is the STUDENT SHEET.

This year I had the students trace each other’s hands.  This really helped to conserve paper.  They were able to squeeze both hands on a ½ sheet of paper. 

Clip ART?

My school is interested in buying Clipart of Objects.  I have been looking into DJ Inkers and Scrappin’ Doodles.  But most of the teachers want objects that have K or first phonics skills or vocabulary words.  Instead of purchasing one or two items here and there we want to purchase a school site license.  Any ideas?  Or great CD roms?
