This week we are reading Cinderella Stories! We brainstormed all about, “What is a Fairy
Tale?” We made this anchor chart. Next I read them, Cinderella by James
Marshall. They loved it!! I had them
identify the characters, setting, problem, and the solution.

Today we read Cinderella Penguin by Janet Perlman. What a fun little twist. Today the students sequenced the story.
We also used the word wall to write about what they would want from
their fairy godmother.
Don’t you just love first grade spelling!!
We also learned the three ways to sort rocks: size, color, texture.
We also talked about the SHAPE of the rock.
