I'll also be using these cards in our Vocabulary Center.  Where the students will be looking up some of these words: carrot, chocolate, basket, tulip, egg or flowers in the dictionary!  My students are so excited about using the dictionary!!  I created this sheet for that center.

Our Phonics Skill of the week is Sounds for Y!!  I found the idea for creating this poster from Jodi from Fun in First!!  My students are already on the lookout!! 


We will also be learning about Synonyms!!  I got all my ideas from Cara from The First Grade Parade!!  I even made this poster to go along  with the activity!!
