Pigs! Summarizing and Math

This week we have been working on Summarizing stories.  We have been using:

Someone, Wanted, But, So, Then 

To recall the events from the stories we read.  The students have been doing a great job with this skill!!  Our main story was The Sleeping Pig so I decided to stick with the pig theme for the week!

I’ve had these little pigs for YEARS in my closet.

You can purchase them HERE! 

If you have or purchase these pigs here are a few Math Activities you can use with these pigs! I put stickers with numbers on them at the bottom of an ice cube tray.  The students drop two pigs into an ice cube tray and add the numbers!

This is a graphing activity. The students roll a pig and graph which way the pig lands.
